About Ryan I have been a resident of Monmouth County for more than 23 years, and it would be an honor to serve on the Board of Chosen Freeholders. At the present time, I am Deputy Mayor of Manalapan Township. Prior to joining the Township Committee, I was a member of the Manalapan-Englishtown Board of Education for close to five years. When I talk about my record, here’s what I want you to know more than anything else: in my time on the Manalapan Township Committee, I have never raised municipal taxes. I firmly believe that government needs to do more with less, which is why Manalapan Township has maintained quality municipal services without raising taxes the last two years. I am a strong proponent for maintaining open space and I have consistently fought against overdevelopment in Manalapan. As a member of the Manalapan Township Planning Board, I support working with small businesses to create jobs and expand local ratables, which eases the property tax burden for homeowners. Public safety is one of my top priorities. I served as Police Commissioner on the Manalapan Township Committee in 2010, and I created and chaired our Public Safety Operations Task Force, which allows all of our emergency responders to come together to discuss issues and make our community safer for residents. Outside of elected office, I’m employed as a school social worker in Lawrence Township, where I advocate for children with special needs. I have a Master’s Degree in social work from Columbia University and a Bachelor’s Degree in Communication Studies from The College of New Jersey. My wife, Judith, and I are happily married and love living with our two dogs in Manalapan Township. Please feel free to give me a call with any questions you might have: (732) 614-5810. Thank you for your consideration.
